Foot board travel on a fast Mumbai local,
Cool breeze slapping your face,
The noise of the inside is not cacophony for a change,

Were you involved in the making of that soft drink ad with the guy at his wits end on a Mumbai local until he gulps down the said soft drink?
Seems that beer works better than soft drinks :)

Spending the night with friends and returning home on the first local when the dawn is just arriving is such a crazy experience...
sleep deprivation works like i am high, and the unreal empty coaches are such a welcome change...
ever experienced this?
an experience worthy having and deserving to be remembered and rejoiced forever..!!
Cheers!!

@ SS & Aki: Thanks for dropping by!I'm glad others too see the small joys that crowded locals give us, every once in a while :)
:-) I worked on this documentary on local trains back in college...and I remember someone calling them 'Mumbai's Lifeline'. I have a million stories to tell about my experiences in local trains as well...each of them teaches me a little more about life, and about myself. It's been eight long years of journeying in them, and yet they keep springing surprises on me every now and then!
The whole hanging on to a train, lapping up the wind experience is amazing. Many years ago, we were returning from a wedding, of which i remember nothing at all, but the cool breeze on my face at the dawn.
Checked my blog after a long time and found my way into your blog from there. Thanks for visiting.
:-) few words and alls said.. beautiful as always..
